Jacqe Yuengtian Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil Trillo launch Happy Skin, makeup that cares for the skin. They start with five counters in clothing retail store Plains & Prints. Two weeks after, the brand enters luxury department store, Rustan’s, and renowned beauty hub, Beauty Bar.
Happy Skin launches its first collaboration with Filipina television personality and Queen of all Media, Kris Aquino. A genuine fan of the brand, she approaches Happy Skin to create her own lippie in her favorite pink color—her first lippie branded with her name to date.
Happy Skin launches “Turn Up the Heat”, its very first limited edition collection of makeup products. Brand announces that their Shut Up & Kiss Me Moisturizing Lippie is Happy Skin’s bestseller—they sell 100 lippies a day!
Happy Skin goes global. The brand launches its own online store, which ships to over 250 countries worldwide.
The brand also celebrates its first anniversary by launching “Save Room For Dessert’, a dessert inspired collection encased in collectible tin cans. On its first year, all the brand’s key products had already garnered beauty awards.
Happy Skin reveals its second collaboration with celebrity stylist, Liz Uy. Happy Skin StyLIZed is launched—a set of three metallic lippies in fashionable yet timeless hues.

Happy Skin opens its first boutique in Glorietta 3, Makati—the heart of Manila’s shopping district. Designed again by Heim, the store is as pretty as their products and brings to life their packaging.
Happy Skin launches its holiday collection, which focuses solely on lippies, their bestselling product. Entitled “Read My Lips”, the book-inspired collection features four lip kits in four formats: moisturizing, matte, lacquer, and mousse.
The brand sells over 200 lippies a day and can be found in 75 locations across the country.
